Hey everyone!
I was going through the Oscars shortlist and I found 9 of the 10 animated shorts that are shortlisted for the Oscars. Thought there'd be people here who are interested and I didn't see a compilation post on Reddit, so I am making this post. 8 out of those 9 are free to watch but they might be free only for a limited time so I'd watch them sooner rather than later. Look for the links below! The links definitely work in the US and I apologize if they aren't available in certain countries.
1) Age of Sail - Youtube link
Synopsis: Set on the open ocean in 1900, Age of Sail is the story of William Avery (voiced by Ian McShane), an old sailor adrift and alone in the North Atlantic. When Avery reluctantly rescues Lara, who has mysteriously fallen overboard, he finds redemption and hope in his darkest hours. Directed by ACADEMY AWARD-winning filmmaker John Kahrs. Produced with Chromosphere and Evil Eye Pictures.

3) Bao - Youtube link - $2 for SD, $3 for HD - worth the price tbh
Synopsis: In Disney•Pixar's Bao, a Chinese mom who's sad when her grown son leaves home gets another chance at motherhood when one of her dumplings springs to life as a lively, giggly dumpling boy. Mom excitedly welcomes this new bundle of joy into her life, but Dumpling starts growing up fast, and Mom must face the bittersweet truth that nothing stays cute and small forever.

Synopsis: Threatened daily by the deadly residents and harsh environment of Australia’s Outback, a lonesome Bilby finds himself an unwitting protector, and unexpected friend, to a helpless (and quite adorable) baby bird. BILBY is directed by Liron Topaz, Pierre Perifel and JP Sans; produced by Jeff Hermann and Kelly Cooney Cilella.

Synopsis: The beautifully artistic 2D short film BIRD KARMA tells a delightfully lyrical and fully unexpected tale of a long-legged bird’s journey of blissful joy, inescapable greed and the accidental discovery of the consequences when too much is not enough. BIRD KARMA is directed by William Salazar and produced by Jeff Hermann.
6) Late Afternoon - Vimeo link
Synopsis: Emily has her afternoon tea and lets her mind wander back into the past. She journeys through her memories, reliving moments from her life. What she discovers there will challenge her in unexpected ways. Written and directed by Louise Bagnall, produced by Cartoon Saloon, Late Afternoon has won Best Animated Short at Tribeca Film Festival and has screened at more than 80 festivals worldwide. The film has been shortlisted for the Best Animation Short category at the 2019 Oscars.
7) Lost & Found - Youtube link
Synopsis: Lost & Found is a stop motion short film that tugs at the heartstrings. A knitted toy dinosaur must completely unravel itself to save the love of its life.
8) One Small Step - Youtube link
Synopsis: TAIKO Studios presents the story of Luna, a Chinese American girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut.
9) PÉPÉ LE MORSE / GRANDPA WALRUS - Vimeo link
Synopsis: « Grandpa Walrus » is an animated short film by Lucrèce Andreae. It was selected to compete for the Short Film Palme d’Or in the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. It won the Audience Award in the 2017 Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the César for Best Animated Short Film 2018.
10) Weekends - Vimeo link - from what I've read, it's free till January 7th
Synopsis: Shortlisted for the 2019 Oscars in the Best Animated Short category & Nominated for the 2019 Annie Awards, "Weekends" is a film about a young boy shuffling between the homes of his recently divorced parents. Surreal, dream-like moments mix with the domestic realities of a broken up family in this hand-animated film set in 1980's Toronto.
