Am I the only person who feels like Nolan kind of gave up on The Dark Knight Rises?

Rewatching it, the film is a mess.

Scenes are cut together awkwardly and his signature three storylines at once doesn't work at all in this one. It almost feels like he was doing it to just give the character a conclusion. This may be because of the death of Heath Ledger, it's not a secret that Nolan was deeply saddened by his passing, and possibly his death was one of the reasons that the film seems half assed. I don't want to say that Nolan didn't try, I think he has enough respect for himself and film to put his all into it. But I feel as though maybe his priorities weren't with this film. I don't know, I know his work, his quality of work, and his craftsmanship. There are so many plot holes, weirdly cut together sequences - maybe the film was rushed in the end? Just get it over with. Selena Kyle, Blake, Bane, Talia, all feel wedged in and none of them minus Bane and Blake were given any real arc or character. Catwoman is wedged in.

I loved this movie as a kid, I was a bit too young to see Batman Begins and The Dark Knight in theatres and I remember vividly seeing Rises and being super excited. It isn't bad, maybe that's nostalgia. But it's definitely not Nolan's best work or even close to his standard of work.
