I've always been a sucker for addiction and/or drug/alcohol films, and am wondering if there are any really powerful ones I haven't seen yet. I've also been going through a rough patch emotionally, and a lot of that involves getting back into solo drinking. Well made films/series have helped me fix a lot of the things I do wrong in my life, so as sad as it is I think one good story I could experience may help me get back on track. I just need something to make me weep.
Some that I have seen already: Requiem for a Dream, Trainspotting, Girl Interrupted, Beautiful Boy, Leaving Las Vegas, The Fighter, The Wrestler, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Warrior (secondary character but still), Bojack Horseman, among others.
