The first time I saw the poster of Batman Forever, I thought she was going to play Poison Ivy because she looked like Ivy and she had that mysterious, wicked, seductive pose but instead she was just a standard romantic interest, kind of like Rachel Dawes, who can throw a punch and spends the entire movie acting more like a gay man than a woman.
I wish she had been Poison Ivy, though. What a missed opportunity. I know Uma Thurman has her defenders but I hated that depiction, it was too campy and theatrical. Kidman had the look, she looked like Ivy even when she wasn't trying to but instead got that boring Chase Meridian role that nobody heard of. Heck, even Julie Madison was in the comics.
