I saw great reviews, and the trailer had me intrigued even though it’s not my kind of movie. I wish so badly I hadn’t gone against my gut simply because the rotten tomatoes score is so high. The acting was bad, the effects were bad, the story was cliche, and the characters were poorly written. Literally everything about this movie was absolutely awful. So why did it get a 91 on RT? Was this score the result of some astroturfing campaign and fake reviews? I have never seen a movie so bad be so highly rated. I’m unable to wrap my head around the disparity between the ratings and movie quality.
