I live in a country (EU) where margarine is the staple, butter is too expensive, comes in small quantities and is hard to spread. I've heard lots of americans being shocked by that and claiming that it is really harmful and i should stop consuming it. Is it true? I assumed the EU has stricter health regulations, so it cant be that bad . Is modern day margarine still somehow dangerous or worse than butter?
