I'm looking for the title of a lower budget rookie police officer movie which I think was was made in the 2000's. The setting is in a smaller community in the US with a rookie police officer. I recall a mentor as a more cynical officer and they had to routinely attend to a domestic where the wife beat the husband. There was also something about a routine call where the police officers sat around showed up and waited for everything to chill out, which resulted in a fatality.
