In most movies, protagonists are taken in a journey, either literal or emotional, that usually has a beginning a middle and an end in which we see it through.
It's a story structure that's been with us since the dawn of fiction, and while I'll never speak badly of a structure that brought many unforgettable movies. It actually got me curious.
Has there ever been a movie in which the protagonist's journey is just.. interrupted and is never finished?
Either by the death of the protagonist or maybe an obstacle they were unable to overcome makes it the journey impossible to conclude?
This legit got me curious, because life, unlike fiction, most of the time just doesnt have to make sense, sometimes life just stops you from doing a thing and that's the end of the story, no satisfying conclusion, it just ends.
Has there ever been a movie that just... ends in a place that doesnt conclude the story it was telling? Or the journey? If so, What are some of them? Because I would be really interested in seeing what kind of movie would that be.
