Do any of you fine people know of some films featuring a self-destructive main character whose life essentially enters a downward spiral for reasons either (s)he can't, won't, or is unable to control, and eventually finds themselves in exactly the same place at the end of the film as the beginning, or worse?
It's my favorite type of film and I'm just looking for suggestions.
