Ever since this movie came out all I’ve heard about it was praise. I’m a pretty open minded movie-goer, when I see a well received movie that I don’t personally like I can always usually find positives about it and understand the mindset behind finding enjoyment of it.
But Jesus Christ was this movie insufferable, the plot goes nowhere, the characters are dull and don’t express any emotion, the acting is mediocre at its very best, and the pacing is some of the worst out of any movie I’ve seen.
And look, I get that the point of the movie is to follow a labourer during a difficult time. I respect the message it attempts to give. But the message falls flat when the movie doesn’t hold up to it.
This movie had some great cinematography and music but that’s it. So please... help me understand your opinion on this movie because I’m genuinely interested in your thoughts.
