Our teacher told us not long ago that a new girl would be joining our class and I didn't really care. She arrived and she seemed pretty nice. After maybe a week had passed. She would always sit with us and I didn't really mind the extra person. We didn't talk much, but I thought that overtime we would become friends. But one day she and my best friend all of a sudden became really close. So close that they would hug and have their arms around each other all the time.
I usually don't care if she does it with our other friends, but for some reason every time she does it with the new girl I get extremely jealous. When I'm with my best friend now and i see the new girl looking in our direction I hug her or put my arm around her to show the new girl that 'she is my best friend and not yours.' I have no idea why I do it, because I usually would not be that kind of person. But everytime I look at the new girl I just get pissed off. I just really want to know why I get so jealous.
