I've searched and I'm getting mixed results on a question that should have a clear answer:
How long is the California legislative session?
I know they have a full-time legislature, but how long is the actual session? I keep seeing "2-year session" and I've read that they convene at the beginning of the year and adjourn a few weeks before the end of the year, but on even numbered years. I also have read that the governor can call a special session. Why is this a thing if they're in session year round?
So frustrating.
