If another guy touches you (like grabs your shoulder or something), and you tell them "Don't touch me", do some people actually consider that as a challenge or as passive aggressive? I was at a lounge yesterday and this guy kept tapping my shoulder to get through the crowd. It's completely reasonable but after the fourth time he did it I figured why can't this guy just use his words or go another way? As soon as I told "Hey man, could you like just not touch me" (I was pretty tipsy so precision of language was out the window), he immediately got defensive and began pestering me saying "What you gonna do about it?" and "Better just walk away." My friend and his friend diffused the situation pretty fast but it was like how could an altercation possibly arise from a request as simple as that?
