People of reddit, what do you do when you start getting complacent, lazy, and feel like you can't get out of the cycle.

I am on a mission to join the hardest engineering college of my country, and studying seems like such a effort sometimes, and don't study as much as I know I should. Just asking for advice on how to stay on your toes on this issue.
