Here's what I remember:
They work on AI.
Some woman comes to interview him or something. She dies in some kind of attack by terrorists or something because they think she has something to do with the AI firm.
he takes a likening to her and makes an AI in her image and puts it in a human like body. Teaches it.
It falls in love with him and vice versa.
At the end, she saves him, they have some kind of AI/cyborg child.
The child only wants to interact with the mom since she has far more intelligence than the human father.
Also I think the cyborg kid is the spitting image of his child who died in the past which makes it that much worse.
