So I went to elementary school in El Paso, it’s an independent school district ranks above average. I liked it.
Anyways I just remembered, in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade....it was always around the same time of year. A little chilly out maybe spring.
A woman would come get me from class, sit me in a little pod in the library and make me take a test. I don’t remember the details of it....but I remember having a hard time finding the missing pattern out of a multiple choice group. There’d be like....a mess of pipes and I had to match the rest of the pipes together almost like a puzzle.
I remember being frustrated that I never got my grade - and I always got the test but nobody ever followed up. It was super mysterious.
What is that test for? Why did I have to take it alone? How come nobody else in my class had to take it?
