I remember when i first saw unbreakable. Imo, it was good nothing special but I didn't really expect anything special for (I was alot younger at the time) I remember thinking it was mising that superhero movie vibe, but that seemed to work out better for the movie. Then watching more MKnight movies i realised it was definitely an intentional vibe. Then fast foward to when split came out. Wow. I was blown away James mcavoy acting and was thouroughly inpressed by the movie. I remember thinking it was because i had watched it randomly without much expectation or really any knowledge of what the movie entailed. My gf had Gotten it on accident and while she was upset i was thrilled. I became even more thrilled the second I realized that not only did it tie together eith unbreakable but there was going to be a third movie. However, after just finally getting to watch it i cant help bit feel as if it was missing so much more than it dellivered. I probably went into the movie with unrealistic expectations but that isnt much of an excuse for how flat the movie was. A movie imo that had soo much potential. I mean it seemed like he M Night Shyamalan actually did utilize some of that potential and had good intentions it just seemed rushed and like something was missing . I havent read any of the reviews yet and wanted to see what others thought? Personally i feel it could have been done much better witbin its time limits but i also wonder if maybe I'm to used to the magic of a television and for a single story to be told through out a 12 episode show rather than a 2 hour movie. Regaurdless I still feel as though those 2 hours greatly missed the mark and while glass wasn't horrible it had the potential to be great. Did i miss something? What did you think?
