Is this a fake job?

So I was sent an email and in it it says the following.

How are you? My name is Matiese Villeneuve and I am a personal manager at J'MMS Immobilier Company. We are really grateful for your interest in company! Yesterday you got our message with the job offer. I already reviewed your resume which completely satisfied our requirements, and we are ready to offer you two positions for your choice: Real Estate Assistant or Construction Supervisor, whichever one suits your wishes and expectations better.

In the next 1 hour I am going to email you the detailed and full job description of both positions. We are improving the hiring process due to nowadays technologies so in my next message you'll find the link to online forms of documents including the Job Description, Job Application and Employment Agreement. Keep checking your email and don't forget to send me a notice if you do not receive that message. Should any questions or problems arise, please contact me immediately. Have a nice day!

So, I replied after checking them out. They have a site, a building in France, and the phone numbers went to these businesses in question.

I then got a phone call from a lady any she wasn't quite sure how she got my info when I asked. Either LinkedIn or indeed she said.


I am sending you a brief introduction and explanation of our future training process. Please review it, hopefully, I managed to provide you all necessary information at least in brief, but if you still have questions left we will definitely discuss them.

Your duties and responsibilities:

Speaking about your duties they will be different, but of course the priority is always working with customers. Our customers are both individuals as well corporate customers who are interested in either buying or selling different real estate objects such as apartments, houses, buildings and other residential and non-residential premises. And by the way, for your information, you do not have to find customers, it's not your at all, duty because we will be giving you leads that is a list of customers who are already interested. So thus you will be always working with leads. 

The procedure of working customers is always the same: whenever you are given the information about a new customer, first of all, you need to get in touch with the customer in order to find out what the customer is interested in exactly. Like, for example, if the customer is interested in buying a new house then you need to specify the criteria (the list of the criteria will be given to you; this includes location, price, time that we are given to find for the customers what they are looking for). Following the criteria you need to do research in the company's database the access to which will be given to you. Of course you need to select only the options that fall under the customer's criteria, then you give the list of options to the customer for him or her to review it, you discuss these options with the customer, answer all customers questions and your main task is obviously to find for the customer exactly what he or she is looking for. In case you managed to do it the customer will sign the agreement with us, pay the start-up fee and it's called a closure, when you have a successful deal. Once you have a closure you file a report to the real estate department and they take it from here, that is from that point that customer is no longer your responsibility. So all in all you will be working with customers only at the initial stage, when you need to consult them, cater for their needs and find for them the property they are looking for. When it is necessary to meet with the customer in person on order to show that house or apartment that they chose before they actually buy it or rent it, another manager will be in charge of it.

Apart from working with customers you will also be in charge of: - collecting data; - filing reports; - data analysis;  - publishing advertisements online; - creating advertisements; - escorting payments from customers and making sure their transactions are safely received; - other various assignments in order to increase your knowledge about real estate and construction sphere.

What is more, since working with customers requires primary skills and qualification, at first you will not be working with customers directly. First off, I am going to give you less difficult assignments, just for you to get used to it and increase your knowledge about the real estate business, and only eventually you will start working with customers yourself.

During your probationary period I will be in charge of your training, so I will be the one who will be giving you your assignments, the information about customers, and all other information that you will need in order to complete your tasks. I'll be definitely giving you all instructions how to do everything, just for you to better understand the process, but in case you need my help or you have questions you may call me, text me or email me. I usually work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Monday-Friday, so this is the time frame when you can call.

Speaking about your schedule it's different because the position that you've taken is only part time, so on average you will be working from 6 to 15 hours per week. It depends on how many orders we have and how many customers we need to process. Moreover, because it is part time your schedule is flexible, that is you may work whenever it's convenient for you, and personally I don't mind when exactly you will be working as long as you manage to meet the deadlines.

Compensation: Speaking about your compensation, it consists of the salary and additional commission so it's salary + commission. The salary is $5,000.00 per month, it's paid monthly by paper check which is mailed to you. The salary is paid on the same day when you are hired every month, i.e. in every 30 days. Your commission is 5% from each successful deal. i.e. from each closure that you have with your customers. But the commission is paid separately, it's not paid together with the salary, it's paid to you whenever you have a closure. So all in all the salary is monthly and the commission is throughout the month, so it's up to you. Besides, I should remind you that since this is 1099 employment both the salary and the commission are before taxes, and you do your taxes yourself.

Mind that during the training period you are paid the same salary and the same commission as always. The only difference is that you will be working under my supervision.

Benefits: According to the employment agreement, first of all, you're eligible to 20 days of paid vacation a year. Secondly, all state holidays (such as Independence Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving and so on) are always days-off, so we never work on holidays and we never call customers on holidays because it's not professional. Finally, unfortunately, the company does not provide you with medical insurance because the position is only part time, but instead of the insurance you will be paid $3,000.00 a year Like one-time payment, so it goes instead of the insurance. It is paid once a year, as a rule, in December.
