In my dream, I'm laying in my bed as if though I just woke up. Every time I move a limb it seems to teleport right where it began, on my side, kind of like I never moved my arm to begin with and just woke up from another dream. I move again, the process repeats. I do this for many round, waking up, moving, waking up. Sometimes when I wake up, I can jump out of my bed, but it never lasts long. Sometimes I wake up and I'm not even myself. This time, I was some strange looking doll, and there were some more strange looking dolls standing at my door, and for some reason I threw myself at them. Again, I woke up, in my bed. Eventually I got scared and started yelling for help. For someone to come wake me up, because I can tell that I'm dreaming. I'm only yelling in my dream, though, I think. I don't believe that my actual body moves at all; but I'm not sure.
Anyways, this happens whenever I take a nap during the day. Like, it happens 90% of the time that I do it. This most recent one, however, I remembered what I told myself before I had this sleep paralysis: to try and just relax rather than fight it. Usually when I tell myself something out of a dream, I don't recall it, but for some reason this time I did. I mean it took a while but when I took a deep breathe and relaxed, I woke up right away. I was so glad it worked because I was feeling really scared at that point, like I was never going to wake up.
So I'm just wondering if the term for this incident is sleep paralysis? Or is it something entirely different? I would really appreciate the help in figuring out the exact term so I can do more research on this.
P.S.: During around the end of this dream, I kept hearing these strange noises. It's a bit hard to remember now but it was some sort of creepy intense breathing that was scaring the hell out of me. These dreams are usually not a fun experience for me, they suck really.
