Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones is a really bad adaption

He was the master of adaptions back in the days of Lord of the Rings, but who the hell signed off on his screenplay?

I'm almost finished reading the novel, and it's a legit novel, well written, you can easily imagine it being turned into a film. It's great, interesting characters you can root for, it makes you sad, it's about change and it's got atmosphere. I love it.

Peter Jackson made this weird movie with the barebones story and he changed! it! To make it stupid and the movie has little to no meaning, the novel has entire chapters that can just be put on film the way they are but here they are making up this heaven bullshit. In fact, in the book, I couldn't wait until that aspect was over, hopefully the end isn't too reliant on it.

And by the way, Peter Jackson fired Ryan Gosling, and he was perfect for the role. Way better than stupid Mark Wahlberg, And I've read the book picturing him the whole time and it's great.

For anyone who has read it, or wants to check it out, use the cast I've directed it using

  • Ryan Gosling as Jack
  • Daphne Keen as Lindsay
  • Famke Janssen as Abigail
  • Sophie Turner as Susie
  • Billie Lourd as Ruth
  • Timothee Chalamet as Ray
  • Lukas Haas as Len
  • Jessica Lange as Grandma Lynne
  • And the only casting decision they got right: Stanley Tucci as George Harvey
