I stumbled across The “Unico” movies on Amazon Prime today. I remember having nightmares about “Unico to the Magic Island” for years after seeing it on the Disney Channel back in the ‘80s. About two decades later I would pay exorbitant EBay prices to get my hands on an ancient VHS tape and confirm it really was as screwed up as I thought it was.
The two “Unico” movies were produced by Sanrio in the 80s, based on an Osamu Tezuka character. Both contain all kinds of nightmare fuel for small children. Has anyone else out there been traumatized by these movies?
