I have been reading on this topic out of curiousity and it seems a lot are saying forgive anything and always encourage them never doubting them but then another article says doing those things can make you a pushover. I'm just trying to find a good medium but nowadays if you aren't pushing full force behind every single one of your friend's ideas you are toxic and should be tossed, but then again that would make them a bad friend for not forgiving you for being unsupportive. I guess my question is what makes a good friend? What is a good limit to how much you should do for them?
Tl:dr Friendship is hard. Being too nice is considered a pushover but also not encouraging your friend on every endeavor is seen as being a bad friend. What is a good friend then?
