Hi all, I hope you are doing well. I remember seeing a post on reddit a long time ago (I don't know if it was on /r/movies or somewhere else), but one of the replies had a detailed breakdown and interpretation of the symbols, smart plot details, and themes in Get Out. For example (spoilers), it explains some important scenes that you may not have noticed when watching the film for the first time:Chris, a black man, picks cotton out of a chair to prevent himself from hearing the teacup, or Rose defends Chris when the police tells him to show his ID- not because she's a racially-conscious girlfriend, but because she doesn't want a record of Chris being around her house so that when he goes missing, investigators won't look in that area. I'm going to watch the film soon, and would like to know some more about the symbols in it.
Does anyone know where I can find an article like this or a post like this? It would be very helpful. Thanks and God bless.
