A friend of mine was in solitary confinement and now they seem to be really out of touch with reality. I want to help them but they seem to be startled by everything and I often catch them staring off into space. I have to call their name multiple times in order to get their attention. Should I just give them space? I'm worried about them being left alone considering being alone is what has caused them all this distress in the first place.
