So I just watched John Carter on Netflix.
Wasn't a huge fan of the books, I read a few of them.
But why all the hate for this movie?
It is well above average, especially for a Scifi film. I am no huge Disney fan, but this is just as well written and entertaining as most of the Marvel blockbusters that come out bi-monthly.
Music is strong. Characters are interesting. Pace is quick. I can't understand why it received so much hate.... It's not like Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which also wasn't horrible, but I can see why that got panned.
John Carter is way above average. I am never listening to critics again. I will figure it out myself.
