note I love The Evil Dead. I think it is arguably a perfect horror movie and I equally love Army of Darkness it’s a perfect absurdist action comedy that I can’t wait to show my future kid when he is 8
however on my first rewatch of The Evil Dead 2 I still find myself disappointed especially considering its acclaim and hype. While it obviously has some great stuff like everytime Ash speaks I feel the additional people are unnecessary and take up to much focus and especially compared to the original Dead By Dawn has a pretty mediocre climax that ends too soon. So while I understand the appeal and Bruce does do a great job I still feel its not horror enough to be a horror and not comedic enough to be a comedy. So why do you like it?
