I have a friend who is 25, and on the track for being left behind in the world. He has no motivation to do anything more with his life and I hate seeing it. He still lives with his parents, drives his mom’s car, has a minimum wage job and hasn’t made any strides for a future since high school graduation (6years ago). He is one of my best friends and I’m worried that he will not “grow up” because he still has an 18 year old high school mentality. For the past 6 years he’s stayed at home and played Xbox and spent all his money on random things and video games without saving. As an added bonus, at 26 he won’t have any health insurance because of the age cut off and has yet to make a plan. How can I help push him in the right direction? His parents certainly aren’t.... also, his friends and I have tried to have an “intervention” with him and he totally brushed us and the conversation off. It’s like he’s scared to grow up.
Also, am I an asshole for thinking this?
