The animation is a 10/10 no doubt about that.
However I thought there was way too much going on with the story for the amount of time allocated to the film. It doesn't help that they didn't use any type of exposition at the start of the film to introduce the world and the characters. I am all for this figure it out as you go along type narrative, but it works best with one or two major plot points otherwise it becomes too confusing and it reduces the overall enjoyment of the film.
There were maybe 9-10 big things that needed to be explained throughout the movie, I think only maybe half of them got really any explanation at all and not really satisfactory ones at that.
Still it is a good film and I would recommend seeing it, but masterpiece? nah.
