I’ve been looking for this movie for a few years now but only remember the ending. Looking at the quality, it seemed to be pre-2000 maybe even pre-1990 but I watched it near 2008 on TV so could be from before that too.
A bearded man in an old astronaut suit (the actor seemed russian) is on a deserted planet, mostly grey with a flat landscape. He communicates with his headquarters (Houston maybe) and notices a tiny Earth right next to him. He takes it into his hand and says « Guys I’m holding you. You’re so small » and proceed to laugh nervously. Houston responds with confusion that he’s too far away from Earth to even see it. The man proceeds to tell them « Ok ok I’m gonna place you where you were then ». He places the tiny Earth in the air where it was but the planet falls on the ground. Radio silence. After a few seconds of disbelief and desperate trying to contact Houston, the man takes off his helmet and wonders into the desert.
My memories are blurry but I hope this ending is clear enough. It seemed to be a Russian movie from 1970-1999.
If you have any idea of what it could be, or know any films in this genre, I would be grateful if you could comment below :)
