So I’ve been watching pirates of the Caribbean the past week or so, all of them. And it got me to thinking about how there are so many more, and better westerns than pirate movies. This being an opinion of course. But I find it interesting how pirate movies only really took off with pirates of the Caribbean, and I feel like westerns have been popular and well done for years. That’s not saying I don’t like older pirate movies but I’m ignorant to the knowledge of most older ones, unless you count Goonies and princesses bride as such. So here is the tie in to my title. Does anyone else think it’d be awesome to have Tarantino write and direct a pirate movie? Idc if it’s similar to the hateful eight and is some obscure story of a crew that’s on one ship, or something more expansive. And lastly, if anyone does know of some good pirate movies I’d love to hear them. I’ve seen my fair share but definitely nothing really old like something in black and white.
