The Invisible Man Movie Theory (spoilers)

Reposted without the title.

So after watching this movie I came to the conclusion that this movie is actually about the two people closest to Adrian fighting for his estate. The movie is told from the perspective of Cecilia who presents Adrian as a controlling sociopath.

Tom- If Adrian is dead, Cecilia has a baby but is locked up, Tom is left as the parent of the child and residing controller of the estate. He was using the suit from day one closely watching and observing their actions. Tom's plan was to have Cecilia go crazy all along after "killing" Adrian. When he offered for Cecilia to go live a new life, he most likely would have faked her death too, changed her identity and still leaving him as the sole controller of Adrian's estate. Both he and Adrian said the other controlled him. Yet between the two Tom showed confidence, intelligence and wit during any of the scenes showcasing him. When she berates him for being a jellyfish he is visually angered. Seconds later, he emotes being a victim. Where Tom failed was that he didn't expect her to be as resourceful as she was.

Cecilia- By creating this elaborate hoax that Adrian is an abuser she will get half and live well. She was a random suburban girl who met Adrian at a party and Adrian has who was very well gaurded never gave anyone a chance until her. The problem in the relationship was that she found Adrian suffocating. Not knowing what he saw in her annoyed her. Always trying to please her because he did not know what would make her happy, she found it "controlling". There are relationships where the man is all about pleasing his partner and they can't stand it. They are codependent on their existence to the point receiving abuse is identified as love. When Cecilia's sister shows up to James house she is immediately irate because she broke the plan and clearly does not want them talking. Adrian "broke" the window but either than this scene, James and the sister are not showed together again. At the end of the movie she cries on demand while Adrian stares confused. She manipulates James for the millionth time having him side with her.

Adrian- Save for the first few minutes of the movie, Adrian doesn't display narcissism at all. Adrian was found in the same clothes as the night Cecilia left with scratches and bruises eliminating him from being a suspect. Remember the driver states how far they live. She claims this is what he does yet expects us to believe he planned a failsafe where if his brother got caught he would be found trapped and tied up with no way out. For that plan to work there would have had to be 3 invisible men driving daily, tying Adrian up then untying him and not 2 invisible men. Also Adrian would be charged for crimes faking his own death if she did return to him also forgoing his lifelong work. From watching his cues and body language, I can tell you Adrian suffers from anxiety. When he's with Cecilia he has his hands in his pockets (doesn't know what to do/how to act). He struggles to be confident to the point he is shaking and tell hers no one else sees him shake. He also says his brother controlled him meaning he is used to living at the hands of an abuser displaying that is why he is comfortable around her. He is so anxious around her he doesn't know what to get her for dinner displaying awkwardness and approval seeking behavior. Notice she mentions what the rules are if he wants to be in her life again. He is almost at tears telling her he doesn't know what she wants failing to have pleased her. People in abusive relationships that think they are made to believe they are the bad person say things like they were wrong and will be different. The super confident controlling psycho would not have apologized or made attempts at gaining her favor through emotion. They would have let her know who's in charge and what her role is.
