I really enjoy writing but I struggle on exposition through conversation. Basically when characters have to interact with one another and have actual conversations. While most of the time I try fitting the convos in between certain actions that keep the characters in motion, there are parts in my story which have them sitting and doing nothing for prolonged bits of time.
How do you create dialog without it coming off as boring? What's the sentence structure like? It just seems too repetitive if I keep writing something like "he said" "she said" "he exclaimed" "she replied" etc.
