Watched Nashville for the first time just now.
Just a perfectly told story.
I thought the dialogue was so natural and real sounding-probably giving rise to the improvisation rumor I’ve heard.
Loved all the characters being fully realized and brought together in the end.
My one question, is it a more satisfying ending if Sueleen sings the final song? Or is that too Hollywood of an ending? I suppose she was just destined to not be a singer and a redemption like that would’ve been cheap and undeserved. Obviously the mic being handed off to the woman who had been trying to get on stage the whole movie was a perfect arc for her but it left me feeling sad for Sueleen.
