Unless their parents make sure to show them the originals first, for kids who grow up with remakes of popular movies from their parents' generation, those are their "originals" in their minds

Make of that what you will (aka good thing or bad thing) but I choose to interpret that as meaning that remakes don't take originals away and by complaining they're ruining your childhood you're ruining kids'
