I've been called a furry a lot online, mostly because I draw a lot of anthropomorphic animals and I my profile pic is one of my animal characters. Only problem is that I don't identify as one, so when I see people online treating me like shit, talking down to me and using a furry in a derogatory way its a bit disheartening. I've personally grown to becoming offended after getting told to kill myself and being treated like shit in group chats with friends because I am a "furry" and therefore my life has less value. Maybe this is my fault. Maybe I shouldn't blame people for assuming cause of the stuff I draw. Maybe I shouldn't be shocked since this is the internet after all, where furies are bloodthirstily had by majority of people. Or maybe I just hate being lumped as a furry. I know not all furies are dog rapping degenerates, I have friends who are furies and would never do stuff like this. But that's besides the point. I wanted to know if anybody has been in this situation before; where they're called a furry and treated like garbage even though they're not one, and all because they draw animals. Maybe they're might be furries reading this that could give me some insight on being one of the most hated group online.
