Personally, I think he should have but he wouldn't have because the Academy doesn't like those kinds of movies. But he would've been nominated. My brother and sister and I just marathoned The Dark Knight trilogy again. To this day, I'm just in awe and blown away by Heath's performance in the movie. It might be my favorite performance in film. He was just incredible. And he is unrecognizable. I do not see Heath Ledger. I see the character. But despite all this, I do think the fact that we all only got to see his portrayal after he died really added something to the experience. I think we all think about what could've been and it's such a shame.
