What ever happens to Mike Myers?
You know of Wayne’s world, Austin Powers, Shrek and “ Cat in the Hat” renown.
He was cinema gold from 1992 to roughly about 2007-08. Ever since he did “ the Love Guru” he has basically disappeared from any meaningful film roles.
I know actors have ups and downs but disappearing entirely is a rare thing. Even the washed up Jim Carry is still doing stuff.
My theory is Mike had his place and time and his style of humor was sort of fit for it only?
I know the late 90s/ early 2000s had a lot more gross out and silly humor. Now that isn’t tolerated nearly as much. Can you imagine a movie coming out in 2020 that featured “fat bastard” and “ mini me” as character names?
For all those who craved an Austin Powers 4, I’d argue we go it in the love guru
