There are ofcourse others, but i just watched these two today & yesterday and its insane how these 2 have barely got any appreciation! Or anywhere near what it deserves.
Please go into these as blind as you can, you'll be blown away.. (hopefully)
Michael Shannon in Take shelter is absolutely incredible. Incredible. No other way to describe his performance. Chastain is amazing too where she couldve easily given a standard, wooden performance. The score is absolutely riveting, the final scene when that score kicks in...is insane. Loved it.
Brigsby bear - go into this without even searching it up honestly. Mooney is damn superb. Its touching & charming yet at the same time heavy & emotional. The dialogues great, maybe its Mooneys delivery in all honesty.
