We’ve become so desensitized to acts of terror that it was going to take something truly “surreal” (the word that keeps being thrown around) such as what we’re seeing for society to recognize evil as a whole. We’ve never had an instance where we’ve been forced to condemn acts in such a public manner as evil with the potential for negative pushback, thus exacerbating the psychological and sociological significance of today’s events, the newest flashbulb memory. The events happening at Capitol Hill today have brought this to the front of my mind. Any thoughts?
