Verbal communication will go extinct soon.

This is due to the rapid integration of technology, like how even now I am texting effortlessly yet talking would be much more difficult... I think this is because it uses less mental energy (assuming fluency, in the case of texting without looking or thought). When I speak I must move my tongue very specifically and form certain sounds to make words. When I type all I do is move my fingers. The result of it is more effective communication, as I can focus solely on my thoughts as my fingers mindlessly transfer them into words. Many predict the future will reveal only further integration with technology, and I cannot see any counterargument to the claim. Then, I think we can assume that older and less effective forms of communication will follow the path of the passenger pigeon into extinction... Edit:

People interpreted this as me saying texting will replace speaking. I was using an example. I meant in the future other technologies will replace speaking in the way texting has replaced the passenger pigeon.
