I was showering this morning and I had an idea,What if we use Saturn's moon,Europa to transfer ice from Europa to mars and turn it into hydrogen and oxygen via electrolysis.
This might seem sci-fi but it really isn't,We have every piece of technology needed right now,We can make a moonbase by transferring material to earth by building a space elevator which is very possible and using the moon base for asteroid mining,After a few years the moon base is not only self-sustainable, it can produce the uranium needed on Europa to launch the ice to mars via mass drivers.
So let's divide it into different steps:
1.Make a space elevator that goes to the top of troposphere.
2.Transfering material and making a moonbase using the space elevator that makes transferring material in space hundreds of times cheaper.
3.Using the moonbase to make asteroid miners
4.Making a large magnet and sending it to orbit mars to make a magnetic field
5.use the iron and uranium on asteroids to make electrolyzers and launching them to mars.
6.after all parts arrived,Use the moon base to make ice mining machines and launching it to Europe which we will then assemble and use mass drivers again to shoot water ice directly to mars
7.Using the electrolyzers to desolve water into hydrogen and oxygen,After a few years or decades mars will not only have a breathable atmosphere it can fully protect it against radiation.
There's literally no piece of new technology needed,Mars can be literally habitable in decades if we want to start now
