You could have been born as an animal who suffers in the wild and dies of hunger or gets tore to shreds by carnivores.
On average every animal has one offspring who survives and reproduces meaning you have a female and male, they get 2 offspring so 1 per animal, but animals reproduce much more most of them die suffering and those who do survive still struggle in the wild.
Every year 70 billion land animals get slaughtered. You could have been a factory farmed chicken pig or cow who suffer in cages or barely have any space to move and you lay in your own feces.
You could have been a human in history which was full of hunger, death, suffering and war.
You could have been a farmed fish swimming in extremely populated water full of feces or being catched as a wild fish who dies within 10 minutes suffering. We kill 0.97-2.74 trillion wild fish per year.
But yet you were born as a human im this small, but safe time period in history and you have access to clean water in a structure which protects you with strong walls where you only have to walk a few feet to drink some water. For animals and people in history we live in a utopia and yet we take it all for granted.
