Sitcoms often end with the main characters moving out of their houses so that the crew can get a jump on set striking.

Think about it. Friends, The Nanny, New Girl, Fresh Prince, Golden Girls, I think even How I Met Your Mother, I could go on. It makes sense, tho. It’s a logical reason to be in an empty house, and saves time on striking the set after it ends.
