Movie theatres are making it harder for me to see movies I want to see.

Small anecdote for you. Me and my girlfriend have been excited for “Battle of the Sexes” for a while now. We both like bio films, and Emma stone and Steve Carrel so we were very anxious to see it. However when on release date the cinema we normally go to only had evening showings after 9pm and the cinema I work at only having showings after 7pm this put her off. For me if I really wanted to see a film in a cinema I would put up with he later showing, however for her the cinema experience isn’t a nessecity and she said she was content in waiting for it to release on Netflix.

Some films I’ve wanted to see just haven’t released here at all such as the Dinner, Killing of a sacred deer and The time of our lives. Can I justify getting a two hour train journey just to see a film? Why must all cinemas neglect these smaller films? And instead put in 5 showings of all very empty justice leagues?
