I just finished reading Alas, Babylon and I was thinking about how good it would be as a film. However, since it is 2017, almost 2018, I feel like it wouldn't work as well in a modern setting as it would in the late '50s Cold War era. I then began to think of it being filmed today as a alternate history period piece, but other than Inglorious Basterds, I can't think of really any other films that have done something like this. Was wondering if any of you other fellows would know if any other films do this in a realistic setting?
