I watched this today on Amazon. I was amazed by the terrible comedy, the weirdly random cast (Van Dyke Parks, Mark Volman, Buddy Hackett, Harry Shearer, Bill Murray in a brief skit but gets top billing along with Howard Hesseman (WKRP) since the movie wasn’t released until 1980.
The final “skit” featured a Cab Calloway-type scene based on an offensive remark by a member of Nixon’s staff. Very well done. The rest of the movie painful.
Think “The Groove Tube” or “Kentucky Fried Movie”. But much worse.
