We've all heard of Chaplin in The Great Dictator and Nicholson in A Few Good Men, but what about the under-the-radar, goosebump-giving, gut-wrenching, knee-slapping lines of dialogue someone else might never have heard of? Deliveries that never got their dues.
The first thing that comes to me is the 2007 movie Sunshine. Cillian Murpheys character Capa has a truly fantastic monologue at the climax of the movie.
It's a bit harder for me to think of a comedic example, maybe something from standup? Robin Williams has some great stuff in Good Morning Vietnam, but I (nor anyone) could (or should) try to replicate or improve upon his performance.
