I think RD has better acting overall with great performances all around but especially Keitel. PF might be the better movie overall but the acting and energy of RD make it better for me personally. PF has some good performances like Travolta, Roth and especially Jackson but Keitel beats them all imo. Roth in RD is better than Roth in PF and Madsen, Penn and Tierney really put RD on another level of acting. The one wild card PF has is the Walken Cameo which is so well done. I also like RD plot better because of how simple and yet complex the scenes can be. If PF is more well received than RD I could see why but RD is like a few inches behind it.
