One of the most powerful scenes I have seen in the past few years.
Expertly recreated and especially acted from all angles. The total disbelief and frustration by Garfield and Dern. The calculated and unconvincing responses by Michael Shannon whose character clearly doesnt give a shit. Even the emotionless and by the book responses of the police officers make this seem SO realistic to me. This opening made the entire movie for me.
