I got a new Victrola vinyl player for Christmas this year and have never experienced any problems with it until just recently.
I purchased two vinyls recently: one used, one new. I played the used one first and I noticed the first and second songs on both sides were skipping, but I chalked it up to the vinyl being used.
However I started playing the new unused vinyl and experienced the same thing; the first and second songs on both sides skip in places.
I replaced the needle for the player thinking that might be the issue but it hasn’t solved anything. What could be wrong and how can I fix it?
